Homelessness in Los Angeles County
Los Angeles County is home to an estimated 10 million people. This is a population larger than the entire state of North Carolina. It has been reported that the roots of homelessness in LA County stem from low housing supply, systemic racism, and income inequality. The current homeless population in LA County is 63,706.
Joshua Kleinberg will talk about what it’s like to work in the streets of LA County as a social worker and advocate for the homeless.
